Job Responsibilities:
  • Coordinate and ensure the smooth operations of all the activities within the Royal Family's Palace.
  • Coordinate with the staff personnel through hiring, training, evaluation, and delegation of duties as felt necessary.
  • Coordinate with the Reporting Person to finalize the daily food Menu at the Palace.
  • To work with the Chief Chef and other kitchen staff to produce quality Food as per the pre-fixed menu and to maintain the high standard of Food produced daily.
  • To coordinate with the Chief Chef to be creative with the presentation of the Food to be served to the Sheikhs and be innovative with local and seasonal produces.
  • To be accountable for the overall management of the Kitchen Staff and be accountable for the food produced in the Palace.
  • To minimize cost through the careful and diligent ordering of stock, checking invoices against delivery, accurate stock taking, portion control, ensuring that the quantities issued are used, avoiding spoilage and pilferage, and minimizing food wastage.
  • To be accountable for the overall Hygiene and health and safety measures that need to be adhered to in the Palace.
  • To ensure that the kitchen, work area, and all surrounding environments are cleaned to the standards set for Hygiene, Health, and Safety and to set new standards, leading by example in working practice and presentation.
  • To coordinate with the Chief Cook in reviewing the Materials requisitions and getting the same approved by the Reporting Person and forwarding it to FH Hotels or other approved Supplier for purchases.
  • To ensure that there is uniformity in submitting the requests and is done systematically on a periodical basis, either weekly or once in 10 days according to the demand of perishable and non-perishable goods.
  • To work closely with the Storekeeper in ensuring that adequate stock is maintained at the Palace Store for daily consumption of food and other consumables, and that Reorder levels are set to replenish the stock as and when necessary.
  • To do random checks at the Store to ensure that the stocks mentioned in the Stock register tally with the physical stock present in the Palace Store.
  • To promote good Housekeeping Practices among all the staff at the Palace.
  • To coordinate the requirements within the Palace for Special events such as festivals, Ceremonies, and other internal events taking place within the Palace.
  • To conduct orientation sessions and other Training Programs for the staff person at the Palace thereby upbringing them to high standards of Professionalism.
  • To ensure that all the staff adheres to the Dress code/ Uniforms allotted to them and to ensure the timely supply of Uniforms and other Supplies to the staff.
  • To communicate with the Reporting Person effectively and regularly daily to ensure that all the activities and operations within the Palace are well taken care of.
  • To ensure that all the Staff personnel is aware of any changes or new items taking place in the Palace and keep them abreast of their duties and responsibilities from time to time.
  • To ensure that all staff ensure proper hygiene, health, and safety at work and ensure safe use of any machinery or equipment to minimize any risk of injury.
  • To prepare Daily, weekly, Fortnightly, and Monthly Reports as advised by the Reporting Person to ensure that all the matters are properly addressed to the Palace management.
  • To monitor the role of the Drivers and ensure that they do not misuse the Palace Vehicles while in their ordinary course of activities.
  • To maintain a Proper Vehicle Logbook and ensure that all travels are properly logged with In and Out timings and duly signed.
  • To ensure that all the staff including the Drivers adhere to the pre-fixed standard hours of work designed for their job and ensure that there is less Idle Time and wastage of Human resources.
  • To Report to the concerned Maintenance Team any repairs, major or minor, within the Palace and ensure that the job so reported is effectively done within a reasonable time.
  • To ensure that there is a proper staff grievance redressal system within the Palace so that no staff would go directly to the Reporting Officer or any other Sheikhs for petty grievance issues.
  • To coordinate with the Private Office Accounts in updating the purchases and in coordinating the staff-related payments at the Palace.
  • To maintain Palace Petty cash float and petty cash register and update the Private office Accounts on a weekly basis.
  • To manage and coordinate with Private office Accounts for the travel requirements of FO members. § To coordinate with the FH Office in ensuring the visa, medical, and related PR matters of all the staff within the Palace.
  • To maintain staff file for each staff and mention their periodical appraisal Report for the awareness of the Reporting Person and for further action.
  • To submit a monthly Payroll sheet to the Private office Accounts in preparing and disbursing the salaries to the staff at the Palace.
  • In addition to the above, the Palace Manager may be required to undertake other reasonable duties and responsibilities which may come in the way within the overall scope and authority of the appointment.
